Group 2. Trading

  • How can I calculate the deposit?

The amount is the transaction volume divided by a leverage. The transaction amount in dollars is 10000 multiplied by the deal lot number and the exchange rate per US dollar. The transaction currency is the currency with the symbol going on the first place of pair notation. For example, EUR is for EURUSD (thus the exchange rate per US dollar is equial to the EURUSD rate); USD is for USDCAD (the exchange rate per US dollar is 1 as USD/USD = 1); GBP is for GBPJPY (the exchange rate per US dollar is equal to the GBPUSD rate). Thus the deposit for the GBPUSD deal (2 lots) with the 1:100 leverage (GBPUSD rate is 1.4956) is 10000 * 2 * GBPUSD/100 = 299.12 USD. The deposit for the USDJPY deal (3.5 lots) with the 1:500 leverage is 10000 * 3.5 * 1/500 = 70 USD.

The Technical Analysis is the analysis based only on the mathematical calculations. You can use only one of them, but there won`t be a complete picture of the situtation. That is the reason why most of the experienced traders use two analyses simultaneously.
